Now, I am going to go into more detail about that first paragraph.

HOOK THE READER IN! This is the most important thing to do at the start of a story. Make the reader ask questions but make sure to answer them too! If you get the start of a story right then the reader will read on: knowing that it will be a great book. First impressions always make a difference.
